Is the HCG diet a cure for Obesity?

Obesity rates in the west are in the increase and around one in three American adults are considered to be morbidly obese. Obesity is a health problem estimated to cost the economy billions every year, not only in healthcare costs for the treatment of weight related diseases, but also from absenteeism and a decrease in productivity amongst those who are seriously overweight.

What long-term health problems are linked to obesity?

Any adult with a BMI over 30+ is classed as obese. Unfortunately, this immediately puts you at a much higher risk of developing a number of serious health problems, including:

  • Coronary heart disease
  • Strokes
  • High cholesterol
  • High blood pressure
  • Diabetes
  • Arthritis
  • Respiratory problems
  • Sleep apnea

How can the HCG diet help cure your obesity?

The HCG diet was originally developed as a way of helping morbidly obese patients lose weight fast. However, you do not need to be morbidly obese to adopt the HCG diet—the diet is extremely effective for use by anyone with a BMI of 20+.

How does the HCG diet work?

The HCG diet is based upon use of Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) in conjunction with a diet of no more than 500 calories per day. The HCG is administered in the form of a dose of 6 drops, which is to be taken six times per day. By also following a strict low calorie diet of fruit, vegetables and lean meat, the body will soon grow accustomed to eating only healthy food and you will find it much easier to stick to a healthier diet once you have achieved your weight loss goals.

You will discover that weight loss on the HCG diet is almost immediate. Within a few days of starting the diet, the HCG will begin the fat burning process and your body fat reserves will soon start metabolizing into an energy source. Weight loss will vary between individuals, but men generally lose between 1 and 2Ibs of fat per day, while women can expect to shed between 0.5 and 1Ib of fat per day.

Please note: always seek medical advice before embarking on any weight loss program, including the HCG diet.
